Ahead of his arrival, the UK Prime Minister’s Office released a G20 poster featuring Rishi Sunak alongside Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, highlighting “Global Food Security” as London’s focus at the Delhi summit.
In a tweet, Sunak emphasized his priorities for the summit: stabilizing the global economy, building international relationships, and supporting the vulnerable. He noted Putin’s absence from the G20 but affirmed the UK’s commitment to supporting Ukraine amidst the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The conflict featured prominently on the UK’s summit agenda, with Downing Street underscoring India’s crucial role in addressing it. Sunak and his spokesperson expressed the UK’s determination to stand with Ukraine and encourage India to use its influence to end Putin’s invasion, emphasizing the importance of India as the world’s largest democracy in this endeavor.
