South Korea Flight: Man Arrested for Mid-Air Emergency Door Opening, Several Injured

On Friday, a 30-year-old man was arrested after he opened the emergency door of an airplane mid-air, just minutes before it was due to land at Daegu International Airport in South Korea.
Despite the incident, authorities confirmed that the Asiana Airlines flight managed to land safely at Daegu airport, with the door still open. Disturbingly, over a dozen people on board experienced injuries and encountered breathing difficulties.
As a result, nine individuals were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention, according to sources.
According to reports, the man responsible for the incident was seated near the emergency door on the plane. He chose to open the door when the aircraft was approximately 700 feet above the ground, merely two to three minutes away from its scheduled landing. Upon landing, the 30-year-old individual was promptly arrested, as stated by Yonhap news agency.
Notably, a video captured by a fellow passenger from inside the aircraft during the event has gone viral on various social media platforms, adding to the widespread attention surrounding the incident.
The incident took place aboard an Asiana Airlines aircraft with the flight number OZ8124. The plane had departed from Jeju Island and was in the final stages of landing at Daegu when the alarming event unfolded.
With a total of 200 individuals onboard, including 194 passengers, the flight was disrupted by the man opening the emergency door mid-air. As a response, Asiana Airlines released a statement confirming that the police were currently investigating the matter, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
