Raja Riaz Ahmad Khan, the Leader of the Opposition in Pakistan’s National Assembly, criticized the courts for granting bail to former Prime Minister Imran Khan and stated that he should have been publicly hanged.

In his remarks on Monday in the House, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the courts’ treatment of Imran Khan, comparing it to welcoming a son-in-law.

He further suggested that if the judges were supportive of Imran Khan, they should join his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), which has vacant seats. Raja Riaz Ahmad Khan advocated for the replacement of such judges with those who can provide justice to the poor.

Raja Riaz expressed shame on behalf of the entire House and the nation for the incidents of vandalism and arson across Pakistan by Imran Khan’s supporters.

In response to recent rulings by the judiciary, which the ruling coalition believes have provided blanket relief to former Prime Minister Imran Khan in several cases, the coalition staged a protest outside the Supreme Court.

The protest included demonstrators from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), who entered the Red Zone. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) established a stage in front of the Supreme Court, according to news agency PTI citing Dawn News.
