NRI Arrested by Punjab Police in Connection to Amritpal Singh’s Escape

Jaswinder Singh Pangli, an NRI from Jagatpur Jatta village near Fagwada, has been arrested by the Punjab Police in connection with the incident of Amritpal Singh’s escape from Hoshiarpur. Amritpal Singh had been absconding since March 18, when the Punjab Police started taking action against him and his aides. Despite search operations, he managed to evade the Hoshiarpur Police until he was last traced to Maranaia village on March 28. Police sources have confirmed that Jaswinder Singh Pangli’s arrest is linked to the ongoing investigation of Amritpal Singh’s case.

Papalpreet Arrested

Since Amritpal Singh’s escape from Maranaia village, the Punjab Police have taken several people into custody as part of their investigation. However, the recent arrest of an NRI named Jaswinder Singh Pangli is the first made in connection with Amritpal’s escape. The police are conducting a thorough investigation on the arrested individuals and have reportedly found crucial evidence related to Amritpal and his accomplice, Pappal Preet Singh, who also fled from Maranaia village.

The Punjab Police investigation into the escape of Amritpal Singh and his accomplice Pappal Preet Singh from Maranaia village has led to questioning of all those who attended a drug-related gathering in Jagatpur Jatta village. The police are reportedly hopeful of making significant revelations in the coming days. The failure to apprehend Amritpal Singh for over 22 days has raised doubts about the police’s credibility. His escape for the second time on March 28 has further complicated matters for the Punjab Police.
