During a public appearance on Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a statement alleging that central probe agencies are trying to portray him as a “thief” by any means necessary.
He boldly challenged the prime minister to publicly hang him if even a single paisa of corruption is found against him.
Kejriwal’s comments come after he was questioned by the CBI on April 16 as a witness in the excise policy case, which led to the arrest of his former deputy Manish Sisodia.
Speaking at an event in Punjab where he dedicated 80 ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ to the people, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a bold statement, alleging that central probe agencies such as the CBI, ED, Income Tax and police are targeting him to prove that he is a “thief” and corrupt by any means necessary.
Kejriwal directed a challenge to the Prime Minister, stating that if even a single paisa of corruption is found against him, he should be publicly hanged.
He went on to criticize the Modi government, calling their actions a “roz-roz ki nautanki and tamasha” (daily drama).
