The accused in the Shahbad Dairy murder case had their police custody extended by three days in a Delhi court on Thursday.
Earlier, Duty Metropolitan Magistrate Jyoti Nain had initially granted the police permission to interrogate Sahil in custody for two days, starting from Tuesday.
However, today, the court extended this custody by an additional three days.
According to court sources, the accused Sahil (20) was presented at the residence of the duty metropolitan magistrate due to security concerns. This measure was taken during the proceedings related to the case.
In a gruesome incident that took place on Sunday evening, the accused Sahil brutally stabbed 16-year-old Sakshi more than 20 times before bludgeoning her to death with a concrete block.
This horrifying crime occurred in the Shahbad Dairy area of northwest Delhi, in full view of the public.

The police took swift action to track down the accused and ensure his custody for further investigation into the shocking murder.
