As a Contact Centre Customer Service representative, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service as you assist customers in their car research, purchases, and post-sales support. You will be supported by a team of enthusiastic and energetic individuals who prioritize customer satisfaction, and you will receive comprehensive training to excel in your role. We are seeking candidates with a genuine passion for customer service, a positive outlook, and a proactive “can-do” attitude. Excellent phone, email, chat, and social media skills are essential. This role may involve weekend and after-hours work on a rotating roster.
As a Contact Centre Customer Service representative at Cars24, your responsibilities will include:
- Being the face and voice of Cars24 to our customers, providing exceptional service and building positive relationships with them.
- Delighting and amazing customers with a warm attitude, excellent communication skills, and a highly professional demeanor, leaving them with a memorable experience they would want to share with their friends.
- Building trust with customers by being responsive, reliable, and proactive in resolving any issues they may have on the spot, demonstrating problem-solving skills.
- Collaborating closely with the customer operations team to ensure the right car is prepared for delivery and that all necessary paperwork for completing the sale is smoothly and efficiently processed.
- Willingness to learn about the different buy/sell processes in different states, and explaining various car features to customers, with training provided by the company.
- Contributing to the development of customer-facing processes in our new business, actively participating in shaping and supporting their improvement.
- Keeping customer satisfaction metrics as a key performance indicator, aiming to continuously meet or exceed established targets.

What you should have
To be considered for the Contact Centre Customer Service role at Cars24, you should ideally have the following qualifications and attributes:
- 2-3 years of customer service experience in a contact centre or reputable retail environment, including customer interactions over phone, social media, email, live-chat, or other channels.
- A customer champion mindset, taking the role of being the voice of the customer within the organization seriously, and striving for 100% customer satisfaction.
- Strong team player mentality, eager to contribute to a dynamic team that is reshaping the way cars are bought and sold in Australia.
- Self-starter and autonomous, able to take ownership of your role with minimal instruction, showing tenacity and commitment to drive the company from start-up to scale-up.
- Creative problem-solver, capable of thinking outside the box and finding solutions for customers beyond established expectations and processes.
- Knowledge of cars (nice to have), including familiarity with various makes and models, and the ability to confidently answer customer inquiries about
- Flexibility to work after hours and weekends, as the role may require based on a rotating roster, which operates from 6:30am to 3:30pm, 7 days a week.
