On Monday, a tragic incident unfolded in Bangladesh, leaving a devastating toll of at least 13 fatalities and numerous injuries. Officials reported that a passenger train, en route from Kishoreganj to Dhaka, collided with a freight train. The collision occurred at approximately 4:15 pm.
As reported by bdnews24, a police official at the Bhairab Railway Station confirmed the discovery of thirteen bodies at the scene. Additionally, several individuals found themselves trapped beneath the damaged train carriages.
Anowar Hossain, superintendent of Dhaka Railway Police, explained that initial findings indicated the freight train rear-ended the Egaro Sindhur, striking two of its carriages.
