Actor R Madhavan: Becomes FTII President, Receives Congratulations from Minister Anurag Thakur
R Madhavan, the prolific actor, has been nominated as the President of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). Union Minister Anurag Thakur extended his wishes to him.

Prolific actor R Madhavan, whose film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ recently won the National Award for Best Feature Film, has been appointed as the President of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and Chairman of the governing council.
The announcement was made by Union Minister Anurag Thakur on platform X (formerly known as Twitter), where he congratulated Madhavan and expressed his confidence in the actor’s vast experience and strong ethics to bring positive changes and elevate the institute to a higher level.

Madhavan, in response to the appointment, expressed his gratitude for the honor and kind wishes from Thakur. He pledged to do his best to live up to all the expectations placed upon him.

The film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ is a biographical drama that revolves around the life of former ISRO scientist S Nambi Narayanan. It achieved great success at the 69th National Film Awards, which took place on August 24. The film not only portrays Narayanan’s days as a scientist but also explores his life after his education at Princeton University.
Apart from his new role at FTII, Madhavan is set to star in the upcoming movie ‘Test,’ directed by Sashikanth. This film is centered around the world of cricket, with Madhavan playing the lead role.
